Andaz Bali is excited to announce the seventh and final installment of its acclaimed Wok’s Around the World series, featuring the authentic tastes of Shaanxi cuisine. From October 19 to 26, Village Square will host a special dining event featuring two renowned guest chefs from Grand Hyatt Xi’an: Kevin Wei and Patrick Lei.
Chef Patrick Lei, the sous chef at Grand Hyatt Xi’an, brings a wealth of experience from esteemed hotels like Hyatt Regency Xi'an and Grand Meliá Xi'an. His signature creation, Shao San Xian, showcases his expertise in Shaanxi cuisine, combining meatballs, dried tofu skin, pork belly, yuba, and fungus in a flavorful broth. Chef Lei is eager to introduce Bali to the distinctive flavors of Shaanxi while also exploring the local culinary scene.
Alongside Chef Lei is Chef Kevin Wei, the assistant dim sum chef at Chang'an Bridge Restaurant in Grand Hyatt Xi’an. With over 13 years of experience specializing in dim sum and Shaanxi snacks, Chef Wei has sharpened his skills at various Hyatt locations, including Hyatt Regency Dongguan and Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Airport. His famous dishes, such as hot oil noodles and Xi'an braised pork, promise to offer an authentic taste of Shaanxi’s rich culinary heritage.
