RAD (Ruang Arta Derau) warmly invites you to: “SOPAN SANTUY” A group exhibition featuring works by Arwin Hidayat (Yogyakarta), Eka Sudarma Putra (Bali), Kuncir S.V (Bali), and Surya Subrata (Bali). Written by Sri W. Pande. Opening Reception: Friday, 13 September 2024, 4 PM – 6 PM At RAD Art Space, 2nd floor, Jl. Manis Gula, Kedisan, Pakudui, Tegallalang, Bali. Special performance by Made Mawut. The exhibition title is a playful twist on the Indonesian phrase ‘sopan santun’ (meaning manners or etiquette). This show challenges how artists can take tradition and the status quo, twist it, stretch it, and reimagine it. In true Ruang Arta Derau style, these like-minded creators present a diverse collection of artworks ranging from batik and furniture to animation. Each artist brings their unique perspective, offering a personal exploration of their creative process, resulting in a dynamic display of different expressions and mediums.
