Behind the Pages: Scratched and Left Open

“Behind the Pages is a reflection of Wulang’s ongoing journey of self-discovery. Recently, he has encountered many individuals, and these meetings have become raw material for his creative process. His explorations, moving from one place to another, fuel a transformation that unfolds over time, never completed in a single night. This exhibition narrates that process through various mediums. There are plots painted on canvas—some solitary, others arranged into collages. Certain marks appear on the surface of figures, forming personal lines that remain open to interpretation. In this collection, Wulang reveals a more grounded expression. His articulation is sharper, his forms increasingly representative, capturing emotions that range from haunting to celebratory, from the peculiar to the enigmatic. This moment is far from a conclusion. Transformation, after all, is fluid—ever-shifting and evolving.
